The Observatory School was most recently inspected by Ofsted on 14 and 15 January 2025. The inspection recognised the school’s strong ethos, inclusive practice and commitment to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Inspectors found that pupils are happy, feel safe and enjoy coming to school. Strong, trusting relationships between pupils and staff were highlighted, alongside high expectations for achievement and behaviour. The report also praised the school’s ambitious curriculum, focus on reading, and wide range of opportunities that support pupils’ personal development, wellbeing and future aspirations

The inspection also recognised the significant growth of the school across multiple sites and the commitment of leaders and governors to maintaining the school’s vision and values during this period of expansion. Safeguarding arrangements were found to be effective
