A Week full of Learning and Achievements at Vyner

Last week was packed with effort, progress and creativity across the school, and we are incredibly proud of all our pupils.

In English, pupils worked hard on their writing, producing some detailed and imaginative pieces, including suspense writing and creative stories. It has been great to see pupils developing their vocabulary and confidence, with some fantastic examples of independent work.

In Maths, pupils showed excellent progress, particularly with mental maths, fractions, decimals and percentages. Many pupils are growing in confidence and tackling more challenging work with a positive attitude.

Science lessons were a real highlight, with pupils completing investigations and confidently drawing conclusions from their results. Their ability to think scientifically and explain their ideas is continuing to improve.

In Art and DT, pupils created some brilliant pieces, including clay sculptures inspired by Gaudi and creative painting using different techniques. The level of creativity and effort has been fantastic to see.

Food Technology was another success, with pupils preparing a range of dishes including shortbread and savoury meals. Engagement in these lessons has been excellent, with pupils showing independence and pride in their work.

We have also seen great effort in PSHE, where pupils explored future careers and the skills needed for different jobs, as well as strong participation in PE and fitness activities, with pupils performing well in a range of physical tests.

A huge well done to all pupils who achieved Gold awards and recognition this week. It was fantastic to see so many pupils earning 100% and being celebrated for their effort and attitude to learning. Special mentions also go to our Scientist of the Week and those who showed outstanding progress across their subjects.

Well done to those who earned Afternoon Tea — it was a wonderful way to round off such a positive and successful week.

🐣 Looking Ahead

We are really looking forward to another exciting week ahead. Pupils can look forward to our Easter Lunch on Wednesday and our Ice Cream Parlour on Thursday!

A reminder that we will finish at the normal time of 3:00pm on Friday.

Well done everyone — let’s finish the term strong! 👏
