STEM Just Got Smarter: Brand-New 3D Printer Arrives

The Observatory School is proud to announce the arrival of our brand-new Creality K1 Max 3D printer, an exciting addition to our ever-growing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) resources.

Since its installation, pupils have been eager to explore the world of 3D printing, creating everything from personalised mementos to functional fidget toys. This hands-on experience has not only sparked creativity but also deepened pupils’ understanding of design, engineering, and digital manufacturing.

The new printer is already making a huge impact in our STEM lessons and extracurricular projects. One of the most exciting applications will be in our STEM competitions, where pupils can now design and produce custom parts for their robots. This opens up a whole new level of innovation and problem-solving, giving our learners the tools to turn their ideas into reality.

And we’re not stopping there. We’re also eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Creality laser cutter, which will further enhance our capabilities and give pupils access to another professional-standard tool to support their learning.

This investment in high-quality technology reflects our ongoing commitment to providing an inspiring, future-focused curriculum that equips pupils with skills for the modern world.

Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates on our latest STEM creations and competitions – exciting things are on the way!
