This week has been marked by excellent achievement, positive behaviour and high-quality learning across all areas of The Observatory School.

Pupils demonstrated strong engagement in English, Maths, Science, History and Geography, producing impressive written work, detailed diagrams and thoughtful responses. Many classes highlighted pupils for their focus, resilience and consistent effort, particularly in areas such as persuasive writing, adding fractions, scientific investigations and historical analysis.

Creativity was also a standout theme, with pupils producing festive artwork, Remembrance Day frames, and Food Tech safety posters. Practical subjects saw continued success, including strong progress from the STEM racing team and confident participation in PE, Commando Joe, and boxing sessions.

We were especially proud of the respectful conduct shown during our Remembrance Day activities, where pupils observed the two-minute silence with maturity and reflection.

Across the school, numerous pupils were recognised for meeting personal targets, demonstrating kindness, supporting peers and contributing positively to school life. Our weekly “Top Five” pupils were also celebrated with an invitation to enjoy hot chocolate with Mrs McGowan at Leasowe and Mrs McGlynn at Vyner.

Well done to all pupils and staff for a productive and successful week. We look forward to building on this momentum in the days ahead.
