Weekly Celebration Assembly: Perseverance in Action!
This half-term, we are focusing on perseverance, and our pupils have certainly demonstrated determination, resilience, and teamwork across both campuses!
At Vyner Campus, our Table Cricket team—Fin, Lewis, Carter, and Kieran—put in an incredible performance on Wednesday, battling their way to the semi-finals! A huge well done to all of you for your effort and teamwork.
Writers, take note! There’s still time to enter our Spring Term Writing Competition, with a £100 voucher up for grabs. Mr. Hart will be passing around a writing checklist to all classes today. Don’t forget—the deadline is just five weeks away on the last day of term!
In the weightlifting, strength training is in full swing. Over the past two sessions, Taylor, Leo, Seb, Carter, and McKenzie have all established their one-rep max on the bench press. Now, the real work begins—“Light Weight, Baby!”
Pupils from Irwin and Rashford had a fantastic visit to Sensory Shack this week! Lawrenah enjoyed cuddling the guinea pigs, Riley practiced his boxing skills, and Kieran & Theo loved climbing. Josh, Reece, Kian, and Logan had fun hiding in the tunnel, while Freddie took on Mr. Gee at pool—and won twice!
A special shoutout to Jacob in Tesla, who scored an amazing 92% on his recent Computing practice test. Keep up the great work, Jacob, and good luck for the real exam!
Over at Leasowe Campus, Logan in Potter showed an outstanding act of kindness by bringing in his own Lego set to share with his classmates—what a fantastic example of generosity!
Teamwork was on display during break times, with a big well done to Alfie, Logan, Nick, and John for their incredible cooperation and understanding.
In phonics, Miss Rahman’s Green Group Superstar this week is Blake! You’ve embraced new challenges and tricky sounds—Miss Rahman is VERY proud of you!
Meanwhile, our Art pupils have been getting creative. Triston, Harvey, Rosie, and Lacey explored the work of Pablo Picasso, creating their own unique Picasso-style portraits—well done!
A massive congratulations to everyone for their achievements this week. Keep showing perseverance, and we look forward to celebrating more success next Friday! ????
