Year 8 Pupils Enjoy Fantastic Day at Chester Zoo
Year 8 pupils recently enjoyed a brilliant educational trip to Chester Zoo, accompanied by Mrs Baxter, Miss Connell and Mrs Parsonage.
The visit gave pupils the opportunity to explore one of the UK’s largest and most popular zoos, seeing a wide variety of animals from around the world while learning about wildlife, conservation and different ecosystems. Throughout the day, pupils showed great curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and taking a real interest in the animals and their habitats.
The group explored many areas of the zoo, walking through different zones and discovering everything from exotic species to endangered animals. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to see first-hand the importance of conservation and how zoos play a role in protecting wildlife.
The pupils represented the school brilliantly during the trip. Staff were very proud of how well behaved, respectful and engaged everyone was throughout the day.
It was certainly an active day too – by the end of the visit, the staff’s step counters had reached an incredible 27,000 steps, showing just how much ground the group covered while exploring the zoo!
A huge thank you to Mrs Baxter, Miss Connell and Mrs Parsonage for organising and supporting such a successful trip. It was a memorable experience and a fantastic day of learning outside the classroom for our Year 8 pupils. 🦒🐘
