DofE Bronze Expedition – A Fantastic Adventure
Pupils from Vyner Campus have completed a fantastic Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition, showing resilience, teamwork and independence throughout.
The expedition got off to a brilliant start, with pupils demonstrating some excellent navigation skills as they followed their route and made the most of the good weather. Carrying all of their own supplies, the group worked together to reach the campsite and prepare for the evening ahead.
Once at camp, pupils set up their tents and began preparing dinner, with Jamal cooking up a storm for the group. After a full day of hiking, navigating and carrying their equipment, everyone enjoyed the chance to relax, keep warm by the campfire and reflect on what they had achieved.
After a well-earned night’s rest in their tents, the group were ready to take on day two and complete the next stage of their expedition.
The experience gave pupils the opportunity to develop important skills including teamwork, problem solving, perseverance, independence and communication. We are incredibly proud of how well everyone supported one another and rose to the challenges of the expedition.
A fantastic achievement for all involved and some brilliant memories made along the way. Well done to our DofE pupils! 🥾🏕️🔥🏅
