There has been a fantastic atmosphere around the Vyner Campus as pupils have been putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test through a series of exciting Enterprise Projects.
Each class was given a £20 start-up budget and challenged to create, develop and run their own business. Over the past few weeks, pupils have been busy brainstorming ideas, conducting market research, planning their finances and preparing their products before launching their businesses.
The creativity on display has been impressive. Businesses across the campus have included homemade cheesecakes, tuck shops, 3D-printed creations, and many other innovative ideas designed and developed by our pupils.
The project has provided pupils with valuable opportunities to develop important life skills, including teamwork, communication, budgeting, problem-solving and customer service. It has been wonderful to see pupils taking ownership of their businesses, making decisions, overcoming challenges and celebrating their successes.
As the businesses have begun trading, there has been a real buzz of excitement around school. Pupils have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, proudly promoting their products and supporting one another’s ventures. The sense of achievement and pride has been evident throughout the campus.
Enterprise education plays an important role in preparing our pupils for adulthood, helping them to develop confidence, independence and an understanding of the world of work. This project has been a fantastic example of these skills in action.
