Leasowe Pupils Celebrate Chinese New Year in Style! ????????????
Pupils at the Leasowe campus embraced the vibrant traditions of Chinese New Year with a morning filled with creativity, culture, and celebration! The day began with an engaging assembly from Mr. Noble, who shared the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated around the world.
Following the assembly, pupils took part in a carousel of four exciting workshops, each offering a hands-on experience of Chinese culture:
???? Chopsticks Challenge – Pupils tested their dexterity with chopsticks, mastering the tricky skill of picking up different objects.
???? Dragon Dance – Laughter and energy filled the room as pupils learned the traditional moves of the Chinese dragon dance.
????️ Calligraphy – Pupils explored the art of Chinese writing, using brushes to create beautiful characters.
???? Lantern Making – A burst of colour and creativity as pupils crafted their own Chinese lanterns to mark the occasion.
After a short break, pupils returned to their normal timetable for the afternoon, with many classes continuing the celebrations through artwork, discussions, and creative activities.
To round off the day, Vicky treated everyone to a delicious Chinese-themed lunch ???? – a perfect way to experience the flavours of the festival!
A huge well done to all the pupils for their enthusiasm and engagement, and thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success. Gōng xǐ fā cái! ????????
