Pupils at Vyner have been hard at work preparing for the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend! They’ve created handmade bird feeders and placed them around the school grounds to attract a variety of birds. These feeders will help provide food for local wildlife and give us the chance to observe and appreciate the different species that visit.

The Big Garden Birdwatch is a nationwide event organised by the RSPB, and we’re encouraging everyone to take part! It’s simple:

1. Spend one hour watching the birds in your garden, balcony, or local park.
2. Count how many birds you see and make a note of the different species.
3. Submit your results to the RSPB to help monitor the UK’s bird population.

You can download a free guide and find all the details here: www.rspb.org.uk.

We’re excited to see what birds visit our feeders this weekend, and we’d love to hear about your birdwatching adventures at home. Let’s all do our part to support local wildlife! ????
