The Observatory School’s STEM Team Triumphs at FIRST Lego League Regional Tournament

The Observatory School’s STEM team recently showcased their skills at the FIRST Lego League regional tournament in Llandudno, delivering an impressive performance that reflected their hard work and dedication throughout the term.

Representing the school were Kieran, Fin, Alex, and Logan, who worked together to navigate the competition’s various challenges. Their robot, which they had been developing and refining over the past term, successfully completed numerous tasks, demonstrating their problem-solving abilities and teamwork.

A highlight of the event was the team’s recognition with the prestigious ‘Breakthrough Award,’ presented by the judges for their outstanding demonstration of STEM core values. This award celebrates teams that show resilience, innovation, and collaboration—qualities that our students embodied throughout the competition.

A huge thank you goes to Mr. Dickson, Mr. B, and Mrs. Lockwood for their invaluable guidance and support in preparing the team for this achievement.

Congratulations to Kieran, Fin, Alex, and Logan for their fantastic efforts and well-deserved success!
