This term, our school is focusing on the value of perseverance, and it has been wonderful to see pupils demonstrating determination and resilience in their learning. Our weekly celebration assemblies at both Leasowe and Vyner continue to highlight the fantastic achievements of our pupils, who consistently show that they are safe, ready, and respectful in everything they do.

Vyner Highlights

A massive well done to Ethan, who made a fantastic start to his short story set in a futuristic world. His use of fronted adverbials and conjunctions created excitement and engagement in his writing – brilliant effort!

Sam, Riley, Jamal, and Connor worked exceptionally well on their project about Natural Hazards, engaging in thoughtful discussions and taking great pride in presenting their knowledge. Keep up the great work!

A huge congratulations to LJ, Lucas, Kieran, and Ethan, who took part in a multi-sports session with Tranmere Rovers. Fantastic effort and teamwork were on display!

A special shout-out to Atlantis, who excelled in her speaking and listening discussion. Her confidence and ability to articulate her ideas were outstanding – well done!

Pupils from Irwin and Rashford classes had a fantastic time at the Sensory Shack session. Their behaviour was exemplary, and they made the most of the experience – brilliant job!

Finally, Freddie has once again proven to be the king of the pool table, retaining his title in another exciting week of friendly competition. Well played!

Leasowe Highlights

A huge well done to Liam, Scarlett, Logan, Alfie, John, Maddox, Leighton, and Nick in Potter class for their superb English work on Monday. They made excellent predictions about their new book based on the front cover – a fantastic start to the term’s reading journey!

Lacey put in an amazing effort in her World Around Us lesson, independently identifying and describing different features of a church. Great work, Lacey!

Tuesday saw some excellent Maths work in Potter class, where pupils explored fractions of amounts using different numerators. Well done to Scarlett, Nick, Alfie, and Leighton for their perseverance and hard work!

A special mention to Scarlett, Lizzy, Alfie, Logan, Nick, Leighton, and John, who made the most of the computing room for a fascinating exploration of World Book Day themed questions. Their research and engagement were outstanding!

World Book Day Success!

Across all sites, World Book Day was a huge success, with pupils immersing themselves in books, discussions, and exciting literacy activities. It was fantastic to see everyone celebrating the joy of reading!
