Weekly Wall of Fame Assemblies Celebrate Compassion at Leasowe and Vyner Campuses
The Wall of Fame assemblies at the Leasowe and Vyner Campuses today were a fantastic celebration of the school’s value of compassion this term. Mrs. McGlynn, had the pleasure of presenting the assembly from the Solar site this week. She shared how welcoming the pupils have been and reflected on how enjoyable it has been to spend the past two days with them, praising their enthusiasm and eagerness to share their achievements.
At Vyner Campus, this week’s highlights included the hard work of Rashford Class, who completed their healthy eating posters, aiming to encourage their peers to eat a balanced diet. The class discovered many positive benefits along the way, demonstrating their commitment to health and well-being. In history, Connor, Sam, Jamal, and Lexie worked diligently to explore the causes of the Arab-Israeli War, learning new vocabulary and developing their understanding of the topic. In Geography, pupils continued learning about India, and Max and Lawrenah used excellent research and ICT skills to create an informative fact sheet. Great work all round!
This week’s Stars of the Week at Vyner were Max, for his improved behaviour, and Bella, for consistently working hard throughout the week. Well done to both!
At Leasowe Campus, the highlights included Logan and Aiden, who have been working incredibly hard on their SATs preparation and are eager to show their best work in the upcoming assessments. In writing, Jake, Isaac, Noah, Blake, De Andre, and Henry made a fantastic start to their new topic, “The Day the Crayons Quit”. A big clap goes to Ayva and Connor C., who each received a Head Teacher’s Award sticker for making excellent choices in class by offering help and following instructions.
The assemblies were a wonderful reminder of the compassion displayed by the pupils across both campuses, with many examples of kindness, hard work, and support for each other.
