Last week at The Vyner Campus
It was another busy week at the Vyner Campus, with pupils showcasing their talents, creativity and determination across a wide range of subjects.
📚 Celebrating Excellent Learning
There were some fantastic examples of literacy work across the school. Pupils impressed staff with their CV writing, independent writing tasks and English lessons. Special congratulations to Ethan, Kieran and Sonny for their excellent work in literacy, while Logan achieved a fantastic success by passing both parts of his Functional Skills Level 2 exams.
🔬 Science and Discovery
Our young scientists have been busy exploring a range of exciting topics. Jamal produced some excellent science work, while pupils in Hopper and Sinfield began creating their own planets as part of their Space topic. Across the school, pupils demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm in their investigations and learning.
🎨 Creativity on Display
Creativity was evident throughout the campus. Theo made an excellent start to his independent art project based on his favourite wrestlers, while Reece developed a detailed mind map as part of his project on trees. Isla produced some outstanding artwork, and pupils in Hopper and Sinfield explored perspective drawing with impressive results.
🌍 Geography and Global Learning
Pupils have begun learning about Brazil and demonstrated excellent geographical knowledge. Harvey impressed staff with his understanding of population data, while Alfie used his incredible knowledge of flags and countries to create an impressive “Flags of the World” map.
🤖 Computing, Robotics and Enterprise
There was plenty of excitement in Computing this week. Several pupils celebrated success in their ICDL examinations, including Sam, Jamal, Freddie, Oliver, Seb and Logan. Year 8 pupils continued learning how to code mini robots, while Scarlett and Logan experimented with robotics and programming challenges.
Our Enterprise Project is also gathering momentum, with pupils using their communication and teamwork skills to begin taking orders and producing products using our 3D printers.
🧮 Maths Success
Many pupils were recognised for their excellent effort in Maths. Theo and Carter have both made tremendous progress, while pupils across the school have worked hard to develop their understanding of multiplication, probability and problem-solving.
🍕 Food Technology
John’s delicious garlic bread proved extremely popular this week and looked fantastic. The smell alone had everyone wanting a slice!
🏅 Recognition and Achievement
A huge well done to all pupils who received recognition for their hard work, including those who completed Star Reader and Star Maths assessments, revised for their Geography examinations and consistently demonstrated excellent attitudes to learning.
Special congratulations also go to our Athletes of the Week, Isla and Alfie, for their outstanding effort and achievement.
🌟 Looking Ahead
The campus continues to be full of enthusiasm, creativity and ambition. Whether in the classroom, the workshop, the sports hall or through enterprise activities, our pupils continue to demonstrate what can be achieved through hard work and determination.
Well done to everyone for another fantastic week at Vyner Campus! 👏🌟📚🤖🎨🏅
