Our Year 11 pupils, families, carers and staff came together for a very special Leavers’ Assembly, marking the end of an important chapter in the pupils’ school journey.
Parents and carers turned out in fantastic numbers, making this the busiest Year 11 Leavers’ Assembly to date. This was a real reflection of how highly thought of this group are and how much support, care and pride surrounds them.
The assembly was planned and presented brilliantly by Mr Dickson, who guided everyone through a presentation full of humour, fond memories and plenty of smiles. It was a lovely opportunity to look back on the pupils’ time at school, celebrate how far they have come and recognise the many achievements and moments that have shaped their journey.
The assembly finished with a beautifully put together video of photographs from over the years. It was a very moving moment, giving pupils, families and staff the chance to reflect on happy memories, friendships and the progress each pupil has made.
Pupils were also presented with photographs and gifts to mark the occasion and to remind them of their time at The Observatory School.
One parent summed up the feeling of the day perfectly, writing: “I don’t have enough words of praise or thanks for the support and care my son has received. You have all given him the best chance to be successful in his life!”
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 pupils and wish them every success as they take their next steps. They will always be part of The Observatory School community.
