This week’s celebration assembly was filled with fantastic achievements across both Vyner and Leasowe, all showcasing our whole school value of perseverance! Our pupils have been working hard, pushing through challenges, and showing determination in their learning—well done, everyone!

Vyner Highlights ????

In History, Sam, Jamal, Connor, and Riley became detectives as they cracked the mystery behind Grafeneck Castle & Hospital. Their detective skills were top-notch—Sherlock Holmes would be proud! ????️‍♂️

Over in English, James, JJ, Callum, and Ruby tackled tricky Macbeth exam-style questions with confidence. It’s great to see such strong focus and determination! Similarly, Jacob, JJ, and Jake showed real perseverance as they honed their report writing skills in preparation for their exams. Keep up the hard work!

In Science, Year 10 pupils explored the fascinating world of Redox reactions with the “Chemical Chameleon” experiment—a brilliant way to see chemistry in action! ????

And of course, Red Nose Day was a big success, with pupils and staff wearing red to raise money for a great cause. Thank you to everyone who took part! ❤️

Leasowe Highlights ????

A huge well done to all pupils who demonstrated amazing listening skills, teamwork, and perseverance while working safely around the fire pit this week. Fantastic behaviour all around!

In Science, Aiden and Jack were absolutely electric ⚡️ as they expanded their knowledge of circuits by adding extra power, switches, and lamps. Brilliant work!

In Maths, John, Logan, Nick, and Leighton produced some superb work on fractions of amounts—great to see such focus and effort! And over in Computing, Connor C and Jake B engaged in some fantastic discussions about data sensors, showing excellent analysis skills.

This week, pupils across the school have shown perseverance in their learning, whether it was solving historical mysteries, tackling exam-style questions, conducting science experiments, or fundraising for charity.
