Year 10 Pupils Explore the Outdoors on Geography Field Trip to Loggerheads
Our Year 10 pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic Geography field trip to Loggerheads Country Park as part of their GCSE coursework. This trip marks an exciting milestone, as it is the first year that GCSE Geography has been offered at our school – and it’s already proving to be a great success!
Led by Miss Davies, pupils spent the day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Loggerheads while carrying out practical fieldwork. The main focus of the trip was to take measurements of the lake, collecting data that will be used in their coursework projects. Pupils worked collaboratively to take accurate readings and record their findings, demonstrating excellent teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day.
Miss Davies was full of praise for the group, commenting, “The pupils were really motivated and engaged with the task. It was great to see them putting their learning into action in a real-world setting.”
The introduction of GCSE Geography this year has inspired pupils to look more deeply at the world around them, with many showing a strong interest in environmental issues, physical geography, and fieldwork techniques. The success of this first field trip is a testament to their positive attitude and growing curiosity.
We’re proud of how well the pupils represented the school and look forward to seeing the results of their hard work in their coursework. Well done, Year 10!
